The objective of this course is to equip third-year computing students with a strong theoretical foundation and practical skills in distributed and cloud computing. The course introduces core cloud computing concepts, architectures, service models, and enabling technologies, with emphasis on deploying, managing, and securing scalable applications and machine learning workloads on cloud platforms. By the end of the course, learners will be able to design, deploy, evaluate, and optimize distributed and cloud-based systems while considering performance, cost, security, and ethical implications.
